The McCartney Tube™ is a single use device that enables surgeons to perform hysterectomies and other gynaecological procedures laparoscopically.
The special design of the instrument facilitates improved visualisation and reduces tumour seeded contamination risks during removal.
The soft curvature acts as a safe guide during sectioning of the uterus and ensures no trauma to the tissue, whilst the airtight valves prevent loss of pneumoperitoneum after colpotomy.
The Tube can also be used as a conduit for removing specimens during surgery. Additionally, the Tube provides a convenient entry for needle and suture into the pelvis for fast and simple suturing of the vaginal vault.
The ColpotomizOR Tube System™ combines the safety and functionality of the ColoptomizOR™ Tube with the optimal manipulation capacity of the ManipulatOR™.
The anatomical design of the tube permits easy insertion and positioning of the uterine manipulator for visualisation and control.
Based on the procedure performed, the ManipulatOR™ is used to manipulate the uterus. The 20-cc inflatable balloon at the distal end stabilises the manipulator within the uterine cavity, enabling surgeons to maintain the uterus in the desired position.
With the tube operating as a specimen removal conduit the ManipulatOR™ can used to extract the uterus vaginally after its complete detachment.
