Taking the clinically proven concept of anterior cervical titanium plate system to a new level, icotec achieved a true breakthrough in the development, production and world’s first implantation of a cervical plate system made from BlackArmor Material.
Utilising the radiolucent and non-magnetisable material properties minimise artefacts in X-rays, CT as well as MRI, and therefore, facilitate post-operative diagnosis tremendously. During tumour treatment radiotherapy is no longer limited by the presence of metallic implants.
The icotec Cervical Plate is 18 mm wide and includes various plate lengths for the treatment of 1 to 4 segments (C2-T1). The screws are self-tapping and locking. For more complex treatment an emergency screw with a larger diameter is available.
- Outstanding imaging quality – due to the use of Carbon/PEEK, focused on bone – not metal
- Hamornised load transfer – resulting in less stress shielding due to a better match of the Carbon/PEEK material properties
- Pre-contoured plates – adapted to the anatomy
- Fixed angle screws – facilitate simplified surgical technique
